  8. Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu. Chennai International Airport (previously known as Madras International Airport) is located in Tirusulam, 7km south of Chennai, and 19 km southwest of the city.

     

  9. Tiruchirappalli, also called Tiruchi or Trichy, is a city in Tamil Nadu, located 322 kilometres south of Chennai and 379 kilometres north of Kanyakumari. Tiruchirappalli International Airport is located on Tiruchirappalli-Pudukkottai National Highway 336, about 5 km from the city centre.

     

  10. Vijayawada is a city in the southeast Indian state of Andhra Pradesh known for the ornate Kanaka Durga Temple, which sits atop a hill overlooking the city. The airport is located at Gannavaran, where National Highway 16 connecting Chennai to Kolkata passes through. 

  11. Mumbai (formerly called Bombay) is the capital city of Maharashtra. Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is located 30km (19 miles) north of central Mumbai.

     

  12. Amritsar city is situated 217 km (135 mi) northwest of state capital Chandigarh. Amritsar Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport named after the founder of Amritsar city, is located about 11 kilometres northwest of the city of Amritsar.

     

  13. Lucknow is the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport of Lucknow is located in the Amausi area, about 12 km from Lucknow city center.
